Periodontal Data Acquisition Competency- X4010
This competency should be completed as part of the Periodontal Lab experience. It does not need to be scheduled ahead of time.
The competency consists of the independent periodontal data (probing depths, FGM, width of keratinized tissue, mobility, and furcations) acquiring of one quadrant on a Perio Lab patient. The patient must have at least moderate periodontitis in one posterior quadrant and probing depths in excess of 5mm on two teeth in that quadrant.
You must inform your covering faculty that you are challenging this competency prior to the appointment beginning. The X-code can be planned chair-side.
