Multiple Extraction (Alveoloplasty in Conjunction with Extractions) Competency- X7300
There is no required minimum threshold before you can challenge this competency and you do not need to complete your simple extraction competencies before you can challenge this one. It can be challenged as soon as you feel comfortable with extractions (at your covering faculty's discretion) and can be completed on any patient that is assigned to you during one of your OS rotation. Because these procedures are less-frequent than "simple" extractions, it is recommended that you challenge this competency as soon as you have an appropriate patient assigned to you.
The competency consists of the independent extraction of at least 3 adjacent teeth and the alveoloplasty of the extraction site on an OS Clinic patient.
You must inform your covering faculty that you are challenging your competency prior to the appointment beginning. The X-code can be planned chair-side.
