Graduation Requirements (Student Clinical Experiences)
Below, listed by department, are the minimum student clinical experiences required for graduation. In addition to these minimum requirements, all clinical and non-clinical competencies must be completed:
Oral Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
- 11 x Simple or Moderate Comprehensive Oral Evaluations (D01501/D01502)
- 2 x Complex Comprehensive Oral Evaluations (D01503)
Radiology
- 11 x Intraoral Complete Series of Radiographic Images (D0210)
- 5 x Panoramic Radiographic Images (D0330)
Periodontics
- 5 x 9a forms following a Comprehensive Periodontal Evaluation (D0180)
- 9 x Quadrants of Scaling and Root Planing (D4341)
- 4 x "Periodontal Portfolio" Patients:
- 2 SRP patients (must be seen for SRP treatment and at least 2 perio maintenance appointments)
- 2 Perio maintenance patients (must be seen for at least 4 perio maintenance appointments)
- 3 x Perio Phase 1 Re-Evaluations (D4100)
Fixed Prosthetics
- 13 x Crowns (crowns 11-13 can be a multi-unit FDP for the "senior fixed competency" and can be manakin-based)
Removable Prosthetics
- 6 x Full Denture Arches
- 2 x Removable Partial Dentures
Endodontics
- 3 x Root Canal Therapy Treated Teeth
